Our classes and workshops have been built with our students in mind, they are designed to inspire and encourage new and unique ideas alongside learning the fundamentals and skills needed to build your own collection of pieces.
From sketch book development and research to pattern cutting and fabric manipulations, you will be guided every step of the way by our industry led, qualified teachers.
We fully understand the impact fashion has on the environment, so we work hard to promote the importance of sustainability within our teaching - we source eco and recycled fabrics and work a lot with deadstock (fabric wastage) to help reduce our carbon footprint.
Established in 2020 Saigon Sewing was grown and nurtured through a love of fashion and teaching.

Hi there! I’m Lilly, a passionate sewing enthusiast and teacher with a bubbly and friendly personality. Originally from England, I’ve been living and thriving in beautiful Vietnam for the past five years.
My sewing journey began at the age of 14 when I made my first dress—complete with a pattern I designed myself! That early spark of creativity led me to study Fashion Design, earning a BTEC National Diploma, followed by a BA Hons Fashion Design Degree.
After university, I worked as a freelancer for a lingerie company, where I gained valuable experience crafting beautifully intricate garments. Later, I had the privilege of working with the talented designer Ong Oaj Pairam, which gave me the unforgettable opportunity to be part of London Fashion Week, working behind the scenes on runway shows.
I also spent 2.5 wonderful years at The Fashion School in England, teaching kids and teens how to sew clothing. This role gave me invaluable insight into how young learners absorb new skills, helping me refine my teaching methods. One highlight of this time was attending a workshop with my students at WGSN, a trend forecasting company, where the students learned how to forecast trends in the fashion industry.
Now, I focus on sharing my love for sewing through engaging classes designed for kids and adults alike. I take pride in being patient, kind, and creating a welcoming environment where everyone can learn and enjoy the magic of making something from scratch.
